Originally built in the 1930s as a venue for cinema and entertainment, MYSTERO was restored in 2020 and currently houses an interactive Museum of Magic and illusionism, the Research Center on the history of Illusionism and Circus in Latvia and a Theater with a capacity of 300 seats with a multipurpose room, a space that can also host exhibitions, presentations and special events.
Mystero Illusionism / theater communication soul and one of the main producers is Inese Mežgale.
Enrico is an actor and theater director, specializing in the famous "Commedia dell'Arte" which he studied with the leading experts in the sector. Dace is a visual artist, specialized in stage arts, sand painting and trained as a fashion designer. Both are passionate about illusionism and circus magicians. Dante is an cinema and theater actor, magician and also producer of events interested in cinema, art, music and theater.
Engaged for years in historical research and in the artistic collection of material related to the history of illusionism and circus in Latvia and in the world, Enrico and Dace are also the founders of a professional Circus-Theater company ("International Show Production") whose high-level shows have appeared in 37 countries worldwide (Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Serbia, Russia, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic , Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus, Algeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, China, United States, Canada, Colombia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, Turkey, Bulgaria, South Africa).
The most recent productions "The Underwater Bubble Show" (Award "Best Family Show 2018") and "Ah ... Liz! Dreaming of Wonderland" are currently in circulation and have been seen, until now, by over 200,000 spectators in theaters of over 15 countries around the world (for more information, you can visit the links below).
In addition to Illusionism and Commedia dell'Arte, one of Enrico and Dace's artistic specialties are soap bubbles; recognized as world experts of the highest level in this sector, they produced 3 informative educational DVDs between 2003 and 2014 and edited a page dedicated to the history and evolution of this art form (Link below).
